NEW DESIGN CENTER AT UH RECYCLES THE PAST TO PREPARE STUDENTS FOR THE FUTURE
HOUSTON, Sept. 12, 2007—It’s been a print shop, an auto shop and a band annex. This fall, the building adjacent to the University of Houston’s Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture reinvents itself once again to become an emblem of innovation and technology.

Steven’s Presents the Final Remaining Piece of “Patterns of Motion” Table to UH Band |
|
For those who were around in the “Moffit Era”, you will be familiar with the Patterns of Motion Films used to teach this concept to Band Directors and Students. UH Drum Major Mark Stevens Dad did those films. One frame at a time, moving each of the little “squads” across a table with a football field like grid on it. The films are still around, but the little “squads” and the table on which they marched are all but gone. Mark Presented to the UH Cougar Band Director David Bertman the final remaining piece of this table at the 2007 Band Concert November 16, 2007. Thanks Mark for allowing the band to have this little piece of its history. |
